RELIGION AND MORALITY. For far too long, religion has been considered to be a pre-condition of morality and many still believe you could not have one without the other. But what would this mean for atheists, if this were true? What exactly is preventing atheists from going on a murderous rampage? Can atheists be moral?
This short concise book aims to tackle the common misconceptions regarding morality, atheism and religion using reasoned argument and a refreshing slice of humour.

Hi, I’m Mary-Louise Adams. Sometimes I write stuff down and sometimes it makes people laugh. My life goals include getting a bigger place so I can adopt two Great Pyrenees or Bernese Mountain puppies (aww, puppies!) and getting over my fear of pigeons. Thank you.

  1. What would you say was the most fun about writing this book?

Finishing it! I tend to procrastinate so I really had to force myself to sit down and write the darn thing.

  1. What are you working on right now?

I am throwing some ideas back and forth with my editor for a second book on atheism but that’s all I can say about right now.

  1. What genre are your books?

Non fiction/ Humor

  1. What draws you to this genre?

I love having serious philosophical debates with people but I also am known as the joker among my friends. It was natural that any book I was going to write would turn out to be a bit silly.

  1. What is your favorite color?

Hmm, that is a tough one. Let’s go with green.

  1. What is your favorite food?

I love me some dessert especially bread and butter pudding.

  1. Are you a cat or dog person? Why?

Dogs! I love them and wish my apartment was big enough so I could adopt one or a hundred of my own.

  1. How are you published (*i.e. indie, traditional, or both) and why?

Indie and proud!

  1. Do you have any amusing stories from your adventures in the writing world?

My writing process isn’t exciting at all. I just locked myself away in a room and wrote.

  1. What is your favorite motivational phrase?

Don’t have one.

  1. What is your favorite book and why?

The Abhorsen series by Garth Nix always puts a smile on my fierce. I love reading about strong female characters.

  1. What advice would you give to your younger self?

Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks, just enjoy yourself and relax.

  1. To end: Give us three Good to Know things about you. Be creative.

I’m terrified of pigeons. Seriously, they are evil.

I love to bake. Anything you want, I’ll bake it for you.

I taught myself how to do a headstand just last week. I still haven’t stopped grinning about it.
